We are an established 4* bed and breakfast located outside Mooi river on the Hlatikulu road towards Giants Castle catering for guests who are in search of comfortable Country Style hospitality and living.

Our humble, but luxury home consists of 5 private cottages. All cottages are of a high standard, with en-suite bathrooms, fire places and private veranda's.

The five farm cottages "Mooi", "Umgeni", "Bushman", "Inzinga", and "Berg" face an uninterrupted, spectacular view of Giants Castle and the central Drakensberg.

Old Rearsby has the best vantage point from which to see the Berg`s glorious dawn and sunset colours. In winter, dining room log fires add charm to the 100-year-old farmhouse, while in summer, lazy breakfasts can be enjoyed under the plane tree or on the stoep.

For those who enjoy the great outdoors, fishing, golf and riding can easily be arranged. Weenen and Kamberg Game Reserves, the Sani Pass and Giants Castle make wonderful day trips from Old Rearsby.

Our luxury accommodation offers the following.

Mooi cottage is equipped with a queen bed, Victorian bath, fireplace fridge, microwave, separate lounge, comfy sleeper couch, private veranda & barbeque facility

Umgeni cottage is equipped with 2 double beds, fireplace, fridge, microwave and private veranda

Bushman cottage is equipped with queen bed, fireplace, fridge, microwave and private veranda.

Berg cottage is equipped with a queen bed/ twin, shower, fireplace fridge, microwave,private veranda & barbeque facility, magnificent and uninterrupted berg views, fully self catering kitchen, family suite.

Inzinga cottage is equipped with a queen bed/ twin, shower, fireplace fridge, microwave, private veranda & barbeque facility, magnificent and uninterrupted berg views, fully self catering kitchen, family suite.

Our linen is the softest percale, topped with duckdown pillows.

Children policy
Old Rearsby is completely child friendly. With our lovely expanse of manicured lawn, there is plenty of space for the little ones to run around and play. Our lovely old oak tree has a swing for  the youngsters too.
