Glenrock is set on a large 640Ha Highveld farm, only 2 hours from Durban, it is mainly run as a beef enterprise. The farm is between Mooi River and Greytown off the R622, about 34km from Mooi River, in the hills above Rietvlei.
The accommodation at Glen Rock consists of:
Glenrock Game and Trout has 7 fully equipped, self-catering units. All units are serviced, once a day, in the morning.
Units 1 and 2 are brick buildings and overlook a large dam. These cottages have 1 private room and a walk through family room. These units can sleep 5 people.
Unit 3 is a double story Canadian Log cabin, with two bedrooms and can accommodate 4 people.
Unit 4 is also a Canadian Log cabin, with two bedrooms on one level and sleeps 4 people.
Unit 5 is a big spacious Canadian Log cabin with two very large bedrooms, each bedroom has 3 single beds and a double bunk, and this unit can accommodate 10 people.
Unit 6 is a three bedroom cottage attached to the Lapa and dining hall. This unit has a TV with DSTV and can sleep 10 people.
Unit 7 “Fisherman’s cottage” a very popular cottage right next to the dam. This unit has three bedrooms and can sleep 12 people.
LAPA: (Kitchen and dining hall)
The Lapa can accommodate 80 people and has a fully equipped kitchen. The Lapa is ideal for larger groups who wish to celebrate birthdays, reunions and any other gatherings. We also do catering and function planning.

Dambais Animal Farm: Has a variety of farm animals where children can touch, interact and feed the animals. Children can purchase animal food from our farm stall. The animals are all very tame.
Play Park: Our jungle gym has been designed to maximize fun and to stimulate children mentally as well as physically.
Fuffi slide: The 250m Zip Line across the dam is very popular. It has a weight limit of 120kg. Booking at reception upon arrival is essential.
Tree Rock Climb: Our very unique and adventurous rock climbing wall is built into a very tall and old Gum tree and is not for the feint-hearted. Booking at reception upon arrival is essential.
Hikes: There are three trails with varying degrees of difficulty and distance marked out along the farm. Enquire at reception.
Mountain bikes: Mountain bikes are very welcome at Glenrock, with over 640Ha of farm there is an abundance of space to cycle, from wet marsh lands to dry mountain areas and plenty of single track to keep you busy.
Fishing: There are 3 fishing dams on the farm. The main dam is 3ha in extent and is stocked with both Brown and Rainbow Trout; this dam is for fly-fishing only and is marked as dam 3 on our sign boards. We stock the dams once a year and we do not feed the fish. The other two dams are stocked with Rainbow Trout and Black Bass, we do allow bass rods and bass lures in these dams.
Bird Watching: Secretary birds, Wattled; Crested and Blue Cranes, various Raptors, Stanley’s Bastards, Storks, Guinea fowl, Francolins, Fish Eagle and Various kinds of ducks are some of the bird species that can be spotted on Glenrock.
Game Viewing: Whether by foot or by car, you are likely to encounter Game on Glenrock. There is Eland, Blesbuck, Mountain reedbuck, Duiker, Oribi, Zebra, Serval Cats, Otters, Porcupine, Bush pig and Fellow Deer.
Game Hunting: Hunting during hunting season when surplus animals are available. On request only.
