Midmar Resort is based at Midmar Dam in the Midlands
Midmar Dam and nature reserve, with its large expanse of fresh water, extensive meandering shore line, open grasslands, good road network, outdoors action and recreation facilities makes it an exciting family destination.
Visitors can visit the wildlife park, which features a variety of antelope and small game species.
Midmar hosts a number of sports events, and during weekends and peak periods bicycles, windsurfers, canoes and yachts can be hired and launch tours and sunset cruises can be booked by prior arrangement.
Midmar camp features 14 two-bed chalets, 13 four-bed chalets with two bedrooms, 3 five-bed chalets with two bedrooms and 2 six-bed chalets with three bedrooms. Each and every unit consist of single beds, no double beds available.
All the chalets include a lounge/dining room, fully equipped kitchen and barbecue facilities. All chalets are equipped with DSTV.

Midmar camp has sixteen rustic cabins. A rustic cabin is a small, one roomed unit with four single beds in one room and a kitchenette and is served by communal ablution facilities. The kitchenette in the unit has a dish washing basin, fridge, kettle, stove, cutlery and crockery.
