Pleasant Places offers, home from home, comfortable and cosy accommodation in a quiet setting, overlooking the Lions River and picturesque farming and forest scenes.
The peace and tranquility on the farm make for an ideal place of retreat and drawing aside from daily life.
The patio is a favourite place to enjoy the rambling garden and the magnificent view. In winter and on misty summer evenings, log fires warm the lounge and dining room.

Number 7
So named because our house in Johannesburg was No. 7 and, including our private bedroom, we have 7 bedrooms. This intimate room has a panoramic view across the valley from the bed or private patio. Guests staying in this room usually come in late for breakfast as they battle to get out of bed and leave the beautiful view they are enjoying.
Seeing the sun rise while lying on the bed is a sight you’ll remember for a long time!
The Room with a View
The walls of this large, hexagonal-shaped room have been repainted in a soft brown colour, known as EarthLink. This very soothing and relaxing colour adds to the ambience of this secluded room. There is a private patio with a magnificent view over the garden, to the river below and the valley beyond. Even the Loo has a View!
Sunrises seen from this room are spectacular!
The Rose Room
We recently re-carpeted this room and installed under-floor heating for those colder nights. This is an exceptionally quiet room with a bay window looking onto the garden.
It is close enough to the main house to get a whiff of bacon cooking in the morning!
The Camellia Room
Named after the beautiful Camellia bushes outside the entrance. It has a large bay window in which you can sit, relax, read or do your make-up and enjoy the beauty of the garden. Access to the garden is via the recently installed French doors.
The Two-bedroomed Family Suite
Each bedroom has its own entrance and ablution facilities. A lobby, with couch, TV and tea making facilities separates the two bedrooms for added privacy.
This unit can accommodate 4 or 5 guests. Smaller numbers can be accommodated by arrangement; a Single Supplement rate may be applied depending on day of week or during high seasons.
