Nestled in the foothills of Karkloof amoungst pristine indigenous forests, the area has abundant birdlife, a few antelope and trophy Rainbow & Brown Trout.
Two x 6-sleeper family cottages with two bedrooms, one bathroom, lounge, dining are and well equipped kitchenette.
One Honeymoon suite with queensized double bed, bathroom, lounge/diningroom area and kitchenette.
Each cottage has a fireplace and braai facilities.
Trampoline for children. Hammocks for all!

Rainbow Cottage
This cottage is a 6 sleeper comprising of two bedrooms, the first bedroom has a queen size bed and an en suite bathroom with bath, basin and toilet. The second bedroom has two single beds with an en-suite bathroom with shower, basin and toilet. In the evenings a sleeper couch is made up which sleeps two. All linen is provided together with bath towels.
The lounge, dining room and kitchen are open plan with a fully equipped kitchen consisting of fridge/freezer, stove, microwave, all cutlery and crockery together with a webber should you wish to braai. The patio has a sleeper wood swing chair and table set for those lovely sundowners in the evenings.
In the open plan area is a fireplace for those cold winter nights. All fire wood and fire lighters are supplied free of charge.
This cottage is situated up on a hill overlooking beautifully manicured lawns with a trout dam at the foot of the hill and the view then extends up into the indigenous forest.
Retreat Cottage
This cottage is a 2 sleeper consisting of one bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with bath, basin and toilet. The lounge and dining room are open plan with a table for two overlooking the lawns, trout dam and forest and a fireplace for the chilled nights. Firewood and fire lighters are provided free of charge.
The fully equipped kitchen has fridge/freezer, stove, microwave, all cutlery and crockery together with a webber should you wish to braai on the patio and relax with an evening drink on a sleeper wood swing chair.
Brook Cottage
This cottage is a 6 sleeper comprising of two bedrooms, the first bedroom has a queen-size bed and the second bedroom has two single beds. There is one bathroom in this cottage with bath, basin and toilet. In the evenings a sleeper couch is made up which sleeps two. All linen is provided together with bath towels.
The lounge and dining room are open plan and the separate kitchen is fully equipped consisting of fridge/freezer, stove, microwave, all cutlery and crockery together with a webber should you wish to braai. The patio has a sleeper wood swing chair and table set.
In the open plan area is a fireplace for those cold winter nights. All fire wood and fire lighters are supplied free of charge. This cottage is nestled alongside a stream and looks into the indigenous forest.
Communal Area in the Main House
This includes a jacuzzi and snooker table should you wish to utilise these facilities. On the farm is a tennis court and trampoline together with hammocks in the trees to ensure full relaxation and fun.
Conference Facilities
For conferences we are able to accommodate 10 people in the three cottages.
The conference facilities are upstairs in the main house. Meals and tea’s can be provided on request. The rates are as follows:
Karkloof Area – Bird life and Buck
Buck found in the area are the grey duiker, reedbuck, bushbuck, bushpig and the endangered oribi
There is an abundance of different species of Butterfly only to be found in the Karkloof. There is a heritage site to protect these butterflies
Bird watching – a recent visitor from Ireland sighted 30 different species of birds in the area. Karkloof is the home of the rare endangered Cape Parrot
Leopards spoor have also been sited in the area
The Karkloof Canopy tours which is only 14 kilometres away offers an unequalled experience of gliding along steel cables between eight canopy level platforms built high within the Karkloof forest. The tours take approximately 3 hours which takes you amongst the birds, monkeys, trees and plants of an awesome forest.

Flyfishing R100.00 per day (which includes two fish) any fish caught thereafter are at a charge of R75.00 per kilogram. We have three dams, one is strictly catch and release 4.25ha and the other two 1.5ha & .5 ha you can keep the fish. All three dams are stocked with Rainbow and Brown Trout.
