Waterford Manor is a four star Bed and Breakfast which also offers self-catering accommodation.
Waterford Manor is a 10-hectare property situated on the Mooi River, outside the small village of Rosetta, in the picturesque and serene KwaZulu Natal Midlands. We are 8kms from Nottingham Road and 12kms from Mooi River. We have 700 metres of Mooi River frontage with many idyllic spots for fly fishing and picnicking. The property has indigenous forest and magnificent trees, with walking trails for the enjoyment of guests.
We have a swimming pool with a wooden deck overlooking the river, and a lapa with BBQ facilities, which are available for guest use and comfort.
There are abundant wildlife species, which move freely through all the properties in the region, so be on the lookout for buck, mongoose, porcupines, jackal and otters. The birdlife is also prolific – we have a couple of resident Paradise Flycatchers and have frequent visits from the Brown Eagle as well as the Hammerkop. We also have a pair of resident Gymnogenes.
This tranquil retreat offers tastefully appointed accommodation with lovely decor to match the well furnished units.

Protea is our very best suite and is recommended for special occasions or if you would like to treat yourself. It has a four poster king size bed, with en-suite bathroom which consists of a large bath and large shower. The Protea Suite has stunning views of the river and country side.
Tamarind B&B suite is one of our premium suites It has a queen size bed, walk-in closet, large bathroom with bath and shower head. There are beautiful views from the quart yard.
Hibiscus is our smallest B&B cottage and consists of a bedroom with double, four-poster bed and small, modern bathroom with shower. Hibiscus has its own paved garden patio.
Jasmine is a thatched cottage, which has two bedrooms, bathroom (with bath and shower head) and separate toilet. The main bedroom has a king-size bed and the second bedroom has two 3/4 beds. This is our most luxurious family cottage. There is under floor heating and beautiful views from the main bedroom and quart yard.
Self-catering units:
Jujube is a thatched cottage and has a double four-poster bed and a separate bathroom with bath and hand held shower. The lounge area, kitchen and bedroom are open plan. This cottage is the closest to the road and parking so is not recommended for light sleepers or those seeking a private weekend away.
Lavender is an open planned cottage which has one bedroom (with queen-size bed) en-suite bathroom (with bath & shower head) There is a fireplace. Lavender has a paved, covered patio.
Sunflower cottage has two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has two single beds. There is a bathroom (with bath), kitchen, open-plan lounge with fireplace.
Breakfast
We serve a full English breakfast. There is a selection of yogurts, fruit and cereals to start. Then we serve a plated main course consisting of tomatoes roasted with basil, mushrooms sautéed in rosemary, bacon, sausages and eggs. There are always croissants / muffins, coffee / tea and fruit juice. The main course does vary slightly when guests stay longer than one night.
