Caversham Mill has 3 private, fully-equipped, self-catering country cottages which are unique early 20th Century Victorian dwellings, situated in quiet, secluded gardens with beautiful views.
Mncane Cottage has 2 bedrooms (one with a queen bed and the other contains two single beds).
This charming Victorian wood and iron cottage, built at the turn of the 19th Century, has two bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has two single beds. Hot water-bottles are available for chilly winter nights. The bedrooms lead into a lounge area with TV along side a log fireplace. Off the lounge area are two bathrooms. One has a shower, toilet and basin and the other has a sunken bath and basin. The lounge leads into the dining room which is a warm suntrap in winter. Off the dining room is a small kitchen which is fully equipped with stove, oven, microwave, toaster, fridge, freezer and all necessary utensils. Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar and milk are supplied as a once off upon arrival. The cottage comes fully equipped with linen, towels and complimentary soap, shampoo and bubble bath. Braai facilities are available and wood is in supplied. The cottage opens out onto beautiful lawns with large trees and an abundance of bird life. A walk to the edge of the lawns brings guests to a deck overlooking the confluence of the Lions and Impafana Rivers and pathways lead down to these rivers.
Cottages are serviced daily. Linen is changed every 3rd day for long staying guests.
Mkhulu Cottage has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 6 people.
A beautiful old cottage with original Oregon floors and stained glass doors is ideal for a family. Three bedrooms allow for a maximum of six guests. Hot water bottles are available for chilly winter nights, complimented by a log fireplace in the lounge – wood is supplied. TV is available in the lounge area. The cottage has two bathrooms: one of them has an old ball and claw bath, basin and toilet, and the other has a shower, basin and toilet. A fully equipped kitchen with a traditional old wash basin completes this cottage. Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar and milk are supplied as a once off upon arrival. The cottage comes fully equipped with linen, towels and complimentary soap, shampoo and bubble bath. Braai facilities are available and wood is plentiful. The cottage opens out onto beautiful lawns with large trees, abundant bird life and a pathway down to the Lions River. A walk to the edge of
the lawns brings guests to a deck overlooking the confluence of the Lions and Impafana Rivers.
Mill Cottage can sleep a maximum of 5 people in two bedrooms.

Valley Cottage
Valley Cottage is a beautiful wood and iron cottage with 1 bedroom (queen bed).It is an ideal cottage for a couple wanting a special, private gettaway. The lounge, dining room and kitchen are open plan with a jet -master wood fireplace to warm the whole cottage on chilly nights. There is a bathroom with a shower and a ball and claw bath. The kitchen is fully equipped. Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar and milk are supplied as a once off upon arrival. The cottage comes fully equipped with linen, towels and complimentary soap, shampoo and bubble bath. The cottage has a beautiful stilted deck overlooking the lawns and valley. A walk down the pathway brings you directly to the Lions River.
A washing machine and dryer is available at no charge for guests staying longer than 3 consecutive days who wish to wash clothes. Linen is changed every 3rd day for long staying guests. Cottages are serviced daily.
All linen and towels are supplied. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk are supplied complimentary as a once off upon arrival.
And for the kids: a large jungle gym, a sandpit, swings, chickens, ducks, rabbits, dogs and tubes for the river – ENJOY!.
Opportunities of river walks, swimming, fly-fishing for yellow fish and bass (October to April) and excellent birding, horse riding, golf, water sports (Midmar Dam), forest walks and trout fly fishing.
This beautiful environment is 15 minutes off the N3 highway, 1 hour from the Central or Southern Drakensberg, 4 hours from Johannesburg and just over an hour from Durban.
Linen is changed every third day for long staying guests.
And for the kids: a large jungle gym, a sandpit, swings, dogs to play with, tubes to swim in the river, and a swimming pool.
